The Cabot Trail is a breathtaking scenic highway on Cape Breton Island, the most northeastern part of the Canadian Maritime province, Nova Scotia. It is a stunning 298 km (185 mi) loop, passing along and through the Cape Breton Highlands and Cape Breton Highlands National Park. It is one of Canada's most famous routes featuring spectacular panoramic ocean views, verdant valleys and incredibly picturesque landscapes, and a land with an abundance of wildlife and flora.
The route begins by driving from Halifax and loops around the Cabat Trail and back to Halifax.
Baddeck is a village in northeastern Nova Scotia in the heart of Cape Breton Island. It is the beginning and end of the world famous Cabot Trail.
Cape Smokey Provincial Park is a mountain along the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton. There is a nice gondola to go up to the top to see the views and for hiking: there are breathtaking views of the Atlantic ocean coastline, Cape Breton Highland National Park and Ingonish.
