Porta Nuova and City Life Walking Tour is a great way to explore the city. It was an engaging experience, while learning about the history, architecture or flavours of the city. Had a great walk and thanks to my friend Roby she was my best Tour Guide!


Porta Nuova is one of the main business districts of Milan, Italy in terms of economy constructed in 1810 on this site and which is still standing. Located just near the Garibaldi Station, a new modern city of skyscrapers is one of the main business districts of Milan, Italy in terms of economy.

















This whole area of the city is very modern-looking, with skyscrapers and urban feel and offers a distinct feel very different from the Centro Storico (historic centre)!


There are also restaurants to stop in and the area offers an opportunity to relax and enjoy another part of Milan. The entire area is quite interesting and it is close to the centre.


The Bosco Verticale and the Biblioteca degli Alberi is located in this area.


The Bosco Verticale "The Vertical Forest" is made up of two modern towers of 110 and 76 meters high built by Studio Stefano Boeri Architetti. Their facades and terraces contain more than 900 trees. The aim was to create a biological habitat, with increasing biodiversity and also to provide an ecosystem approach that encourages the alignment of cities with natural systems.


The Biblioteca degli Alberi is a magnificent botanical garden and contemporary landscape, with restaurants & community events. It is the perfect place to take a stroll in this urban green park!

















City Life is one of the new areas with a very modern look and is located in the heart of Milan and is a short distance from the historic centre of Milan, surrounded by luxury architectural condominiums and state-of-the-art office skyscrapers, a vast range of trendy shops, international restaurants and a cinema.


This area is a wide-ranging mix of shopping, eating, business-architectural marvels and residential spaces. It feels very different from the Centro Storico. The entire area is quite interesting and it is close to the centre.


This district is nicknamed and now characterized as "Tre Torri" due to the presence of three brand new skyscrapers: Torre Hadid called "the Storto", Torre Libeskind called "the Curved" and Torre Isozaki called the "Straight". These are  designed by the great architects Arata Isozaki, Zaha Hadid and Daniel Libeskind.

Unicredit Tower is a skyscraper in Milan, Italy. At 231 meters, it is the tallest building in Italy.


Gae Aulenti square is a trendy and modern square and  named after Italy's most famous female architect. This area has a surrounding of modern office buildings, retail outlets and restaurants. It is a quite a big area and nice place to relax to be outside and to explore!


Egg is called Voci delle Citta (The City of Voices) and is a first permanent artwork of art created by Alberto Garutti. It is a construction of 23 chromed brass tubes, which extend over four floors where you can talk through them while listening to sounds and changes of words.
