White Lake is located in West Vancouver and is a small lake, a peaceful oasis in the hills of West Vancouver above Horseshoe Bay. The hike is scenic and initially starts to climb (a little steep) but overall relatively easy and relatively short and winds its way up Nelson Creek through Douglas fir groves and western red cedar and you meet several large old growth giants. The trail connects up with the Trans-Canada to the east and the Baden Powell Trail.
My dear friend and I accompanied by our dogs left the car at Westport Road in West Vancouver and via gravel road we passed under the highway overpass and the excursion began.
The route is 5 kilometers in less than two hours Round -Trip.
