The Castello di Carimate is a 14th-century castle located on Piazza Castello #1 in the town of Carimate, Province of Como, Lombardy, Italy. The route is mainly on a dirt bike path without major technical difficulties; some connecting sections are on an asphalt road. The only appreciable difference in height is the climb to Carimate castle.

My departure is from Novate Milanese crossing was followed this route: Bollate - Castellazzo, Garbagnate Milanese, Parco delle Groane, Limbiate, Solaro, Ceriano Laghetto, Cogliate, Seveso, Misinto, Lentate sul Seveso, Cascina Valle-Carimate station to the Castle of Carimate and return to Novate Milanese.

The route from Novate Milanese is a stretch of paved road once you arrive in Bollate you enter through the Groane Park precisely in Garbagnate and is mainly on dirt.

Cycle Ride From Milan To Castle of Carimate And Back In Brianza Lombardy Italy                              Added (12/2021)

Villa Arconati, also known as Castellazzo Degli Arconat, is a prestigious eighteenth-century residence, with its twelve hectares of garden. This prestigious gem villa is located in the Groane Park, in the hamlet of Castellazzo di Bollate, north-west of Milan. It was built in the grand Baroque style in the 17th and 18th centuries, today it appears in the structure as it was completed by the Arconati family. It is currently used as a museum and venue for events and meetings.

This historic building is considered an Italian version of Louis XIV's Versalles, it is a heritage of great historical, cultural and architectural value. In this residence people such as Antonio Vivaldi and  Aurturo Toscanini stayed and the last person who resided was the Marquis Crivelli.

Next to the Villa Arconati stands the Church of San Guglielmo

The ancient village of Castellazzo is made up of agricultural courtyards still used today, this place rises even before the identification of Villa Arconati, when on the territory there was a fortified farmhouse "il castellazzo". There are no documents identifying the origin of Castellazo di Bollate, however it is remembered from the fourteenth century as "Villafranca del Castello". The existing courts are: Corte Grande, Corte del Fabbro, Corte Nuova and Casa Nuove.

Limbiate is a comune in the Province of Monza and Brianza and is nestled in the central strip of the Groane Park. The farmhouses, the narrow streets, the old courtyard houses and its external courtyards are beautiful!!

In Solaro there is a beautiful wood of new trees that have been planted in honor of Lea Garofalo, the victims of the Foibe, the stray Eagles and O.S.C.A.R. A tree can be used for the reforestation of the Groane Park. Good idea!

Then, the route continues until you reach the Ceriano Laghetto sign, along a farmland with vineyards and in the vicinity there are benches where they are surrounded by woods and lots of peace. Just a cute area for a short stop!

Once in Solaro the route continues through Ceriano Laghetto is a small town in the province of Mona and Brianza. In the park there is an old Polveriera Nature Reserve. Where there was an Army ammunition depot. Today it is inactive, becoming a mixed forest, with moor and oak corners at the present time it is visible only from the outside.

Once in Cogliate there is a fountain and immediately after the stables in Misinto Cascina Sant 'Andrea and the route of the Groane ends in Lentate sul Seveso and from there continue on the state road that leads to Cascna Valle up to the Castle of Carimate. I returned following the same path.
