Cape Scoot - Vancover Island, British Columbia, Canada
Cape Scott is located on the northern tip of Vancouver Island, in British Columbia.
This Hike wilderness adventure through full of ancient forests, vast pristine white beaches, sand dunes, beautiful coastal areas and interesting history. There is better than unspoiled nature is a spectacle of nature from wild animals and flora! The trail as described of the wettest and muddiest places on Vancouver Island but we were lucky we had sunny days!
• The beach camping areas are well equipped for tents and include toilets (pit toillets) and food caches (lockers).
• The journey will take 2-3 by car west of Port Hardy where the trail begins.
• Total distance: 23.6 km. It is about eight hours, it depends on the trail which could be muddy and rainy.
How to get there?
By gravel logging roard from Port Hardy. It takes about 1Hrs.
What wild life live in Cape Scott Provincial Park?
Black bears, cougars, wolves and elk.
Itinerary
• Day 1: Hike from Trailhead to Fisherman River
• Day 2: Hike from Fisherman River to Nels Bight
• Day 3: Nels Bight a day hike to Cape Scott Lighthouse and beach hiking
• Day 4: Nels Bigh/ hike back to trailhead
