Dartmouth Multi-Use Trail - This Great Trail is a part of the Trans Canada Trail through Sullivan's Pond and travels along the Shubenacadie Canal, Lake Banook and Lake Micmac.

This is a popular route with paved roads and crushed gravel and easy to navigate for hikers, runners and bicycles.

The trip started with Halifax Transit Ferry Service crossing the Halifax Waterfront to Dartmouth's Alderney Landing terminal after the short bike ride in downtown Dartmouth and discovering the lakes route, then I followed the route which travels from King's Wharf, through Industrial land, along the railway line, past Nova Scotia Community College and ending at Dartmouth Harbour-front Greenway.

It is a short distance of 3 Km overlooking the sea which ends at the Woodside ferry terminal and after the short ferry ride after which I cycled to The Citadel Hill Loop / Citadel National Historical Site is the central walled area of the city. The loop is 1.3 kilometres with great views of the Citadel and the city and finally wanders around downtown Halifax and also the Halifax waterfront. 4 kilometres long it is extremely clean and allows for a pleasant walk along the water, offering great views of the harbour and boat docking facilities.

There are many shops, patios, cafes and restaurants to visit. It's very beautiful!
