We left Netarts at 12:30 pm and headed towards Cape Lookout.  Cape Lookout has a double meaning, beautiful lookouts and lookout for the big hill:-)!  We had a huge climb and near the top, we found a great hang gliding spot!  The view was tremendous and you can tell that hang gliders love it here!

We headed towards Sandlake and what an interesting name!  Because it's a sand dune everywhere, like a lake of sand!  We could hear dune buggies but we didn't see them!

The road was like a little windy, country road and we came across some unique mailboxes, see the pictures!  This is a nice hobby farm area.  You can see the ocean in the distance still.

Back onto Highway 101 and we went up a huge, long, 5 km hill towards Lincoln City and a great descent, jackets had to be worn!  We went from very warm and sweaty going uphill to cool and speed, obviously without brakes, going downhill:-)!

We ended up at the Captain Cook Motel and by coincidence, the co-owner lived in Italy and Patrizia had a great talk with him and before, at the supermarket, she met a lady whose sweetheart had the same last name as Patrizia's!  Small world!

Patrizia was so happy that Ellie found in the supermarket a great bag full of oysters (6 each) and a package of fresh cooked crab!  We had some corn and green beans too! Wow, what a dinner!
