Sirmione, is a charming and small peninsula village in the southern part of Lake Garda in the province of Brescia in Lombady. The peninsula of Sirmione is protected by an impressive 13th century medieval fortress the Scaligera Castle of Sirmione. It is an iconic sights to explore by walking in the narrrow streets of the resort village surrounded by gardens, aquaria thermal spas, beaches, and boat trips on the lake. Furthermore there is an archaeological area of the Caves of Catullus and the Sirmione Museum setting by a  fantastic views of Lake Garda. Caves of Catullus/ Le Grotte di Catullo is the name given to the ruins of a Roman villa dating back to the first century BC. It costs €12 to visit it.
