The quaint medieval village of Corenno Plinio is part of the municipality of Dervio, in the province of Lecco, Lombardia region. The uncontaminated village is set along picturesque Lake Como,  is home to the walled Castello di Corenno Plinio, the 12th-century Church of San Tommaso di Canterbury, and panoramic water views from the Tower of Orezia.


The splendid village retains a historical and authentic charm, with its stone houses, narrow stone-paved streets that intertwine with the ups and downs of the ancient cobbled alleys with picturesque views that go down to the lake. The view of the lake and the surrounding mountains is a classic postcard view.


It was an incredible to walk around this fairytale village, such a hidden gem overlooking Italy's Lake Como where peace reigned supreme and history permeated every corner. Time had suddenly stopped here, as if no one lived in those ancient stone houses anymore. A true corner of paradise!
