Nova Scotia is one of the thirteen provinces and territories of Canada. It is one of the three Canadian maritime provinces, is located in the north east of Maine and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.


The capital of Nova Scotia is Halifax, a town located on the western side of the peninsula, opposite the city of Dartmouth.

Highlights:


* Halifax Harbourwalk is located on the Halifax Harbour waterfront. It is four kilometre long and is one of the world's longest continuous boardwalks. It is a beautiful urban trail offering nice water views, local artisans, restaurants and much more.

* Downtown Halifax is located on the eastern-central portion of the Halifax Peninsula.

*  Peggy's Cove is a picturesque small fishing village located on the eastern shore of scenic St Margaret Bay in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

*  Cape Breton Trail is one of Canada's most scenic highways and is located on Cape Breton Island. It is a loop of 298 Km of amazing views.

*  Baddeck is a village in northeastern Nova Scotia in the heart of Cape Breton Island. It is the beginning and end of the world famous Cabot Trail.

*  Cape Smokey Provincial Park is a mountain along the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton. There is a nice gondola to go up to the top to see the views and for hiking: there are breathtaking views of the Atlantic ocean coastline, Cape Breton Highland National Park and Ingonish.  

*  Inverness is a small village, having a peaceful stroll on the boardwalk along a beautiful beach and has a world-class golf course.

*  Halifax Citadel National Historic Site is a large19th-century British fortification made of stone located a the top of Citadel Hill in Halifax. It offers an amazing view of the city from the top and lots of History.

*  Public Gardens are located is in the downtown area of Halifax. These beautiful city gardens are from the Victorian era.

*  Titanic Grave Site is the site of 121 victims of the Titanic sinking is in The Fairview Cemetery in Halifax.

*  Point Pleasant Park is an urban recreation and historic park situated at the southern tip of Halifax Peninsula. This beautiful and fascinating spot has a beach front park, many forest trails to explore and historical sites and memorials. The park was used by the military from the mid-1700s and ended after the First World War, but in the park there are several remains of ancient fortifications.

*  Halifax Ferry Terminal there are two ferry routes: the Halifax-Alderney Landing terminal and the Halifax Woodside Ferry.They are passenger ferries that cross from Halifax Waterfront to Dartmouth.

*  MacCormacks Beach Provincial Park is located near Fisherman's Cove  in Eastern Passage near Halifax. It is a nice short walk around Norwalk with nice views all the way along.  

*  Fisherman's Cove Heritage Center is in the heart of Eastern Passage. It's authentic fishing village, boardwalk, colourful cabins, gift shops and restaurants.
