Torre di Segname - Cà Pipeta Hiking Loop From Gordona In Valchiavenna Sondrio I  Lombardy Italy

The excursion begins in the municipality of Gordona to discover an important historical site in Valchiavenna, the tower of Segname (or Signame) and the Ca Pipeta. The historic tower is in a panoramic position and dates back to the 9th/10th century, they built the defensive and sighting system

Driving along the road towards Gordona by car, after having passed through the inhabited centre, we take a road where there is a sign indicating the Boggia waterfall. Then, we continued until we found the unpaved parked near the Boggio stream and from there the path climbs where it starts along the mule track.


Description of the route


This beautiful circular route, hiking and running, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The route crosses, the Valle del Pozzo stream and the Valle del Vendu stream which crosses numerous old dilapidated and the Torre Segname (543 metres), where you can enjoy a spectacular view of Valchiavenna and admire the panoramas of the numerous surrounding peaks including the Sasso Manduino, Pizzo di Prata, the Gallegione and Stella peaks, which both exceed 3,000 metres.
