There are two alternative ways to go to Vancouver. One is the faster south side (on Trans-Canada Highway 1) and the other north side of Fraser Valley (on Lougheed 7. Lougheed 7 is less busy and more scenic and traverses sweeping panoramic views of the Fraser Valley.
We followed the Lougheed Route 7 lookout with sweeping views of the Fraser Valley and traversed rolling hills, mountain views, farmland, lakes and along winding rivers. There are many adventure opportunities such as: hiking, biking, rowing and golf.

Day 03: Lillooet to Lytton
We left Lillooet with a hot and dry temperature and with little wind, covering kilometres with only heat but then the strong and opposite wind had risen, covering 54 km with gusts of wind of about 30 kilometres per hour. Despite the fight against the wind it was a wonderful journey!
It is a spectacular, not difficult course that runs along the Fraser River. Its ups and downs that flank the boundless desert horizons clinging to steep wooded mountains that cross the canyons, which are lost in the direction of grandiose to breathtaking natural sceneries and boundless spaces of the prairie horizons, everything is truly breathtaking!
Lytton is consistently one of the hottest places with desert landscapes also is the rafting capital of Canada.
Traces of the historic Gold Rush have also been seen in this path.
Climate-wise, it can be warmer or colder, causing fires that we have unfortunately seen.
The Thompson River leaves the route to join up with the Fraser River. There are breathtaking views of the green water of the Thompson River as it mingles with the muddy flow of the Fraser River.
