The Orrido di Bellano is located in Bellano, a village in the provincie of Lecco overlooking a beautiful stretch of Lake Como.
The natural and very picturesque gorge was formed over centuries, due to the erosion of the waters of the Pioverna stream which, sculpting the valley floor, dug an ever narrower and deeper furrow that from Taceno reaches the Lario.
This place has inspired many writers thanks to the atmosphere that you see this place from with its gloomy artifacts and the rumbling cube of the tumultuous waters.
It offers incredible scenery for the whole route and it is passable by walking in the narrow path along a series of wooden and metal walkways hooked to the rock and suspended in the void that navigate throughout the interior for most of the path making a complete circuit in less than an hour.
You walk through pools located at the mouth of a rock and water pools that are a beautiful green / blue that are right at the base of the rock face, incredible vertical overhangs seen from the walkways, the surrounding green colours, and from the ravine you he sees the waterfall and who knows what else because there is just so much to admire!
A beautiful, panoramic and unique place!
