Forte di Fluents & Forte Montecchio Nord are  a former military fort situated in Colico, in the province of Lecco, Lombardy, northern Italy.

The Fortress is of Spanish origin from the seventeenth century built by the Governor of the State of Milan, Pedro' Enriquez de Acevedo, Count of Fluentes, to prevent any expanding ambition by Three Grey Leagues (modern Swiss Grisons) that wanted to enlarge their domain from the Valtellina and Valchiavenna up to the High Como Lake.

The Forte was destoyed in 1796 by Napoleon's troops and General Rambeau under Napoleon's Command. At the time, however. it was no longer a military fortress.

Forte Montecchio Nord is the best preserved First World War fortress in Europe

Both can be reached after a few minutes of walking on the path going up the mountain where they are located.

The two places offer panoramic terraces on the fabulous Pian di Spagna, the Adda river that flows into Lake Como and the mountains of Valtellina and Valchiavenna.
