Colico is a city in the province of Lecco, Lombardy, Italy. It is situated on the northern arm of Lake Como, where the river Adda enters the lake.
Colico is a lovely village at the foot of a breathtaking view of the gigantic gigantic granite pyramidal formation del Monte Legnone at 2,609 meters high which is the highest peak in the Lake Como area.
This beautiful little resort is a stunning destination for lovers of outdoor experiences and offers a wide choice of excursions for every taste between mountains and the lake.
The presence of the winds that characterize this area make the waters of Colico "a windy corner of paradise” and a suitable place to play including regattas, sailing boats, kayaking, standing boards, windsurfing and has hosted the Italian round of World Championship kitesurfing.

Fontanedo Tower is a historic site in Colico at the center of Colico's medieval village at the base of the Monte Legnone. The tower was built in 1367 by Bernabo' Visconti the wall of It reachable by a fairly easy path through the woods, in a priceless lake landscape and the mountain range. It is an amazing place with breathtaking views!
The Priorato di Piona or Abbey of Piona is located on the top of a small peninsula called the "Olgiasca” that is on the tip of the Lecco branch of Como Lake at Colico.
The village of Villatico belongs to the municipality of Colico.This place begins many nature trails in the mountains.
There are three equestrian facilities near Colico located along the cycle path by the Adda River.
The famous Valtellina path originates here in Colico and is a cycle / pedestrian route (114 km) that connects Colico (Lecco) to Tirano (Sondrio). The route winds along almost the entire route of the Adda River.
This oasis is a place that I have always loved in different seasons of the year with each one having its own charm!
