#03 Highlights in All Around Lulu Island & Iona Jetty on a Bicycle, Richmond, BC Canada                     Added (11/2021)

It is a wonderful route to circumnavigate around Lulu island for its fascinating landscapes that offer the cyclist that does not require any effort and well marked and despite that it is flat but it is decisively satisfying for a cyclist precisely for the paths that are very versatile and very open with rich panoramic points to observe; agricultural landscapes / fertile plains, open views of many dikes, the ocean,  the Fraser river, the Salish Sea, islands and mountains from far away very visible, marshes, wildlife, and cultural heritage sites.

he route starts from Terra Nova which is located in the north-west corner of Lulu island (Richmond BC) then peddling in the beautiful Iona beach jetty( (8 Km long and narrow peninsula into  the ocean round trip) which is surrounded by views of the ocean that are breathtaking. Iona jetty is located north of Vancouver international airport and the route ends at the starting point Terra Nova.

The area is very famous for salmon fishing and much more. The cost Salish bands were the first nations to collect fish and berries.

I cycled a mix combinations of roads (cycle paths, cycle lanes and road sections  with no bike lanes).

It is certainly a nice ride for looking around and photographing!
