My experience bicycle touring in British Columbia...
Like much of the Canadian territory, the spaces and distances are enormous, and it is necessary to plan one's itineraries well - but I certainly do not plan my itineraries exactly myself since, I love the freedom of a bike trip and to throw myself into adventure! I keep my choices flexible, from the stages and legs, to the hours in the saddle and where to sleep, even the enormous distances do not stop my spirit of adventure: I always have a goal of where I want to end the day!
What experiences have I had?
Wandering abandoned by long distances from infinite horizons across majestic, spectacular landscapes and finding myself in contact with unspoiled, wild nature.
Which emotion has most affected you?
Having a close relationship with wild animals in their natural habitat and feeling as a friend among them!
What fascinated me?
The territories and villages of first nations peoples that allowed me to rediscover the past from their traditions, their identities and their different cultures. It is a small or large space in their world where time has remained with their traditions. It is certainly not a tourist place but admiring it with consideration is their world!
Where was my accommodations?
We camped most of them as well as slept in some local motels, always ate buying food in supermarkets and in the evenings we often cooked with a field gas stove.
