My cycle tour began by leaving my friend's house and I made my way along the Halifax Waterfront and then took the ferry to Dartmouth to find a nice waterfront trail. Arrived at Fisherman's Cove in the Eastern Passage. It is a very cute 200 year old beautifully restored fishing village. Also nearby is the MacCormacks Beach Provincial Park Trail: this park offers a 1km loop ride on a wide walkway flanked by the beach and has stunning coastal views and great views of Halifax and McNabs and Isles Provincial Park Lawlor. I also found some fog but it was certainly a very beautiful place!
After that, a very quiet road full of green fields and coastal view took me to Hartlen Point Golf Club and finally to an interesting path with water on both sides when I arrived at Rainbow Haven Beach Provincial Park: a magnificent sandy beach with footpaths made of boardwalks to protect the sand dunes, an excellent place for those who enjoy bird watching.
From this point I went back to complete my circular tour to the place where I started the bicycle adventure!
