The Piani dei Resinelli or Piani Resinelli is a plateau of the Lombard Prealps, in the province of Lecco. Within the territory lie the municipalities Abbadia Lariana, Mandello del Lario, Ballabio and Lecco, which are located on a wide saddle at the foot of the Grigne Group on the slopes of Grignetta. Many hiking trails lead from this location.

Pian dei Resinelli (1270 m) is located just above Lecco, at the beginning of Valsassina. It can be reached by car along several back roads.

Inside the Valentino Park is the Villa Gerosa House Museum that was born from the desire of the Montana Community of Eastern Lario and Val San Martino to tell the territory of the Grigne Group.

Belvedere is panoramic walkway to Piani Resinelli offering a breathtaking view window overlooking Lecco and surrounding mountains.

The route

The path starts from the Piani dei Resinelli where we parked the car near a balloon and from there the path leads to the Adventure Park and then to the entrance to the Valentino Park is marked. And after a little while, you continue in an area of ash and beech trees and begin to climb but it is not steep or only a few steep stretches and you reach the panoramic top of Mount Coltignone (1471 m) where you can admire the most beautiful panorama of Lecco, Como Lake, the Braintei Lakes, Monte Resegone and Monte Due Mani.

Next you return to the crossroads of the path for just a few minutes and then take the path to Cima Paradiso and admire the views of the Southern Grigna. Following this, we took the path with bends downhill to reach the famous catwalk del Belvedere where there is a walkway that stretches for 12 meters overhanging the surrounding landscape where you can admire a wonderful view of the Lario and the city of Lecco, the Braintei Lakes and the surrounding landscapes.

Finally, after this last stage and the last path, the wonderful circular excursion led us to complete the tour, bringing us back to the starting point.
