West Point Grey Beaches Walkable Tour In Vancouver, British Columbia Canada

Point Grey is the largely residential peninsula south of downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, near the University. This spectacular neighbourhood has beautiful beaches and lush forests, and is a place where properties are known to be some of the most prestigious in all of Vancouver.

West Point Grey Beaches that lie outside the city limits are a special set of beaches located in the West Point Grey area. The three impressive and spectacular beaches are: Jericho, Locarno and Spanish Banks.

All the beautiful beaches are sandy, have excellent walking and cycling routes, are a good place to play beach volleyball and barbecues, and lay out nicely in the sun so as to relax with ample parking spaces.

There are also concession stands to eat or drink and public restrooms with showers and lifeguards. You can watch amazing sunsets while also gazing at the city skyline in the distance visible on all three beaches.

Jericho has a sailing centre where they offer sailing lessons and reasonably priced rentals of a variety of small boats, from kayaks to paddle boards.

At the tip is the University of British Columbia (the westernmost side of Point Grey).

The famous Point Grey Foreshore Trail is an amazing hike that runs alongside the ocean, the Museum of Anthropology, Wreck Beach - a clothing optional is located in the area right on UBC and is reached via a long stairway that leads up to the incredible pristine beach, the Nitobe Memorial Garden and the UBC Botanic Garden.
