Last day Bergamo to Milano

Approx. 80 km, no diary entries made

From Bergamo, we head west toward Ponte San Pietro, Terno d'Isola and Calusco. There is a nice bridge shortly after Calusco which crosses high over Adda river. Then head into Berareggio and Vimercate.

The riding is flat.

After Vimercate, we head to Arcore, Villasanta, Monza, Sesto San Giovanni and Milano.

The traffic and population density will get wild as getting into Milano, but if you keep alert and ride slow, following signage to the centre, you should be fine.

There is a good variety of low cost hotels in Milan near train station ("Stazione Centrale"). As well, from the central station area, one can easily walk to the main sights such as the opera house ( La Scala) and the cathedral (Il Duomo di Milano). Lots to see included Brera is part of the Centro Storico district of Milano HERE WHAT THEY SAY ON  wikedia s home to the Pinacoteca di Brera gallery and its collection of Italian art spanning centuries, and the fresco-filled, 15th-century Santa Maria del Carmine church. Upscale food shops and fashion boutiques line the streets, and at night the cobbled alleys come alive with glamorous Milanese dining at sleek sidewalk cafes and stylish restaurants.

Zona Navigli is a system of interconnected canals in and around Milan....This is a nice authentic local place to spend an evening in Milan. Plenty of restaurants to choose...Navigli area is a really nice area to see. It's better to visit in the evening as then every pub/bar is open for an aperitif. Great for a relaxing walk on the path along the canal for cycling jogging.

Discovering the Navigli area of Lombardy on two wheels it is incredible!
