Road from Galaxia Hotel in Patras is the third-largest city in Greece, and to leave Patras seems nearly impossible, You must find the old road when leaving Patras. Go up 3 or 4 blocks from sea, turn left. This road will eventually connect with the old national road. A good road, a little rough and little traffic but on the road you can see the sea of Cornith and on the right you pass a multitude of small Greek towns.
Virtually every town will have accommodation, restaurants and markets - you will never be more then about 10 km from food/accommodations all the way to Athens. Xilocastro is a clean, seaside town with Many markets, rooms, hotels and campsites.
