Cycle Tour #3: Day 19

Left Taranto 9:15 AM. It is an easy and flat ride to Brindisi. The road is called "via Appia" and it may be a a little crowed by not dangerous. There is a lot of agriculture with olives ect and many signs of the ancient romans.

Hot, humid, nothing much interesting in terms of scenery.

117.3 KM

Brindisi is one of the most important tourist, industrial and commercial  ports of the Adriatic Sea and it provides access to a variety of places along the Adriatic sea.

t is a splendid location full of history, tradition and art and it is fascinating to walk on the promenade to the sea and inland to discover streets and monuments

We found an overnight ferry and having lots of spare time we walked in the historical center of Brindisi.

We got the ticket for Patras, Greece and boarded at 9 or 10 pm.

It was a difficult day due to lots of road construction, crowding of traffic, trucks etc onto S106.

Hot, humid, nothing much interesting in terms of scenery.
